Pay it Forward to share a magical Christmas story with Barton Hill children and families.

Stories transport children beyond the world they live in, sparking their imaginations and creating moments of shared joy and wonder for the whole family. 

Our award winning co-production Boing! captures the delirious excitement of the night before Christmas, and we wanted to share this magical story with as many children as possible.

We know that many children in Travelling Light’s locality of Barton Hill rarely access creative opportunities, with costs and lack of transport providing real barriers to enjoying experiences that other children in the city take for granted.

That’s why we teamed up with Bristol Old Vic to support two free community performances for children and families who would not otherwise be able to access the theatre.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, 160 children and their caregivers enjoyed a special trip to see Boing! at Bristol Old Vic. Read our story here.

Our supporters helped by:

•          Purchasing a free ticket for a child to see Boing! at the same time as buying their own ticket for the show by selecting the Pay it Forward ticket price.
•          Donating directly to support additional tickets and transport costs for the families to attend.
