Celebration Festival (2009)

  • Meet the cast

About the show

Our 36th original production was our first festival, a collection of 18 short plays  co-produced with Show of Strength Theatre Company.  The plays were performed on three different levels at Bristol’s Create Centre.  Audiences were given a map which they used to explore and search out where the different plays were happening.

The programme comprised plays specially commissioned from both professional and young writers. It was the culmination of a year-long writing project called Short Sharp Shots, which explored writing short plays in schools and sought out young writers keen to develop their talent.

The plays selected were:

The Lost Princess by Mark Ravenhill performed by Nadia Williams

Yaaay! by Natasha Sutton-Williams performed by Nik Howden

Jessie, Giggsy and Me by T.M. Alexander performed by Tom Wainwright
