Community programme

We create theatre with and for children and young people in our local community of Barton Hill, Bristol.

Our projects include our Youth Theatre and Louder than Words groups, a school holiday programme and community events.

Our holiday programme

Delivered in partnership with local food charity St Lukes Lunch, our local holiday programme offers free creative activities alongside meals during the school holidays for families eligible for free school meals.

"It’s amazing for children and adults – we get to meet people and share experiences. It’s very good coming here." Parent

Winter Lights

Winter Lights was a community project that we created with and for our local community in Barton Hill, Bristol, as part of our 40th anniversary celebrations. It culminated in an event on Sunday 26 January 2025. Over 700 children, young people and their families took part at Wellspring Settlement.

The theme of Winter Lights was ‘moments of joy’ – where we find these in our lives, in our communities and environment.

Over 400 children, young people and members of the local Barton Hill community were involved in creating the event.

Community Partners

We work with a range of partners in our local community to deliver our programme of creative workshops and opportunities, engaging with children, young people and families who wouldn’t otherwise be able to experience theatre and creative opportunities.

If you are a local community organisation and would like to discuss how we might work together, get in touch or pop in to say hello.
