About the show

In this fantastical dance theatre show, a little girl overcomes her loss when she meets a colourful feathered friend and they embark on a magical adventure together.

Inspired by children’s own experiences, this breath-taking show from leading children’s theatre companies Theatre Hullabaloo and Travelling Light combines contemporary dance and captivating storytelling to celebrate the power of imagination.

For everyone aged 4+

Length: 50 minutes

A Theatre Hullabaloo & Travelling Light Theatre Company co-production.

Trigger / content warning:
In When The Birds Sang, the character of Jay overcomes the loss of her father and there are a few moments where it is clear she misses him or is sad. We are aware that for some children and adults who have experienced something similar, they may find some scenes triggering. We advise adults to prepare in whatever way they feel suitable and also highlight that there are many moments of joy expressed alongside this.
