Free theatre trip for families in Barton Hill to see Belle and Sebastien

In December we organised a free trip to the theatre for families from our local community in Barton Hill.

The trip to Bristol Old Vic to see our family show, Belle and Sebastienprovided a joyful experience for families to share together, with transport provided.

This was made possible through the generous support of donors to our Big Give Christmas Challenge campaign.

All the children really enjoyed the show. Watch them talk about the performance and tell us what they thought in the short video below.

Here’s what one of our community partners said about the trip:

“Thank you so much Travelling Light for the theatre trip to Belle and Sebastien. It was a really brilliant performance, made all the more amazing watching the children’s faces as they laughed and watched with wonder. The families were very thankful for the transport and it was the first theatre experience for many of the families.” Amy, Project Manager, St Luke’s Lunch.

I was ecstatic and it was amazing!

Parents told us:

"My child went to school on Monday very excited to tell all her friends about the show."

"The first time I have ever been to the theatre and I loved it."

A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our Big Give Christmas Challenge appeal, for making this trip possible.
