Family Theatre Day returns this April
On Saturday 20 April, Travelling Light is collaborating with University of Bristol students to present a day of family fun for local children and their families and carers.
University of Bristol theatre students have created two workshops and two performances for children aged 5-7 and 8-11 and their families. Tailored to exploring creativity, confidence and imagination.
Curated for all, we encourage all the family to attend and watch, or take part!
The day will begin with a workshop and performance for children aged 5-7 and their families (11am-12pm). Participants will explore the idea of bravery in a celebration of themselves and the little things they do that make them feel brave. They will be able to decorate their own bravery shield to use in the performance and take home with them.
Between the workshops (12pm-1pm), the students will be facilitating face painting, games and activities with any children or families who need to stay, and all are welcome!
Then we will welcome 8-11 year old children and their families to enjoy a performance and workshop transporting them to a campfire, filled with music and movement (1pm-2pm). It will be a time for them to relax and use their imagination and creativity.
We invite everyone to this free day of theatre fun.
