Family Theatre Day this March
On Saturday 15 March, Travelling Light is collaborating with University of Bristol students to present a day full of theatre and family fun for local children and their families and carers.
University of Bristol theatre students have created workshops and performances for children aged 5-7 and 8-10 and their families, tailored to exploring creativity, confidence and imagination.
We encourage all the family to attend and watch, or even take part.
The day starts with a fun and engaging 15 minute performance and then a 30 minute workshop for children aged 5-7 and their families (11:30am-12:30pm). Participants will explore the importance of bravery and being yourself through music, expression and art.
There will be a short break in between the workshops (12:30pm-1pm) with snacks, drinks and face painting on offer. This will be available for any children or families who need to stay, all are welcome.
Then there will be a second workshop, welcoming 8-10 year olds and their families to enjoy a 15 minute performance and 30 minute workshop, which takes them to a kingdom where darkness has been banned! We will explore the importance of agency, confidence and teamwork through dancing, magic, and crafting (1pm-2pm). This will be a time for the kids to relax and use their creativity and imagination.
We welcome everyone to this free, fun day of theatre.
