Travelling Light and Show of Strength collaboration

Taking place at the Create Centre, Hotwells on the weekend of Sat 10th & Sun 11th April from 10am - 5pm each day

This Festival of short plays will take place in the nooks and crannies in and around The Create Centre. Come along and get a map of the building so you can explore and search out where the different plays are happening. They might be in the Ecohome, the Life Skills Centre or even in the lift! Pirates, aliens and even vegetables have their own story to tell.

Tickets are £6 for a whole day's entertainments or £20 for a group ticket (4 people, to include at least one under 16). Tickets are available on the day or can be bought at the Create Centre after 1 April (NB.cash or cheque only).

This event has come out of the huge success of previous Show of Strength projects such as WAITING and TRADE IT! and Travelling Light's young writerS project SHORT SHARP SHOTS. Seventeen writers have created new work specially for the event: these range from Mark Ravenhill, whose adaptation of Terry Pratchett's NATION is at the National Theatre, to five young writers (under 21) whose work will be produced professionally for the first time. Each of them has interpreted the theme of Celebration in their own way.
