Welcome to Travelling Light.

We have been creating theatre for young audiences since 1984 and are celebrating our 25th anniversary this year. During this time we have created 33 new shows and have become well known for our work for the very young.

We have recently achieved a long held ambition of having a space where all of our work can happen under one roof by moving to new premises at Barton Hill Settlement.

  • The company's base is in Bristol and we tour our shows to local schools as well as to theatres and festivals throughout the UK. 
  • we also work with young people through education and development projects 
  • and run three thriving youth theatre groups as well as an annual summer school
